The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party continued its tirade against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday too with one of its senior leaders, N. Janardhan Reddy, accusing the TRS government of being mired deep in corruption which has become the biggest hurdle in State’s development.
He waved copies obtained through the RTI about enhanced estimates cleared for pumps for the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy irrigation project and charged that a top engineering official dealing with the project was giving clearances bypassing all norms.
“KCR can, in no way, compare himself with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has provided a scam-free rule in the last three years. It has become the habit for the Chief Minister to denigrate and make sarcastic comments against political opponents, but Telangana people have become disillusioned with his empty rhetoric,” he claimed at a press conference.

Rules were being bent to benefit contractors even in Mission Bhagiratha, he said and wondered why KCR could not pay off the farmers’ loans in one go when he managed to mop up thousands of crores for the scheme from various banks.
Dr. Reddy said he was ready to present the documents to the Chief Minister at Pragati Bhavan and challenged the latter to file cases against him or even send him to prison if his allegations were false. “I will give him 15 days to react or I am ready to present these documents to the ACB court,” he said.
He charged the CM of having “insulted” BJP president Amit Shah with his intemperate remarks when the latter did not mention his name even once and felt such harsh reaction was because he sensed the ground slipping beneath his feet.

The BJP leader also claimed that the distribution of sheep, pigs and other animals was only to hoodwink various caste groups as the subsidy offered did not amount to much.
