Congress leader Janga Raghava Reddy has accused the ruling party leaders of trying to damage his image fearing debacle at Palakurthy constituency in the next elections.
“Errabelli Dayakar Rao is instigating officials to register false cases against me as he feels threatened by me. He is trying his best to tarnish my image but he will not succeed,” he said.
Mr. Raghava Reddy had a tiff with the contractor laying pipelines under the Mission Bhagiratha scheme at Madikonda village. He said he only asked the supervisor why he had dug up the road without obtaining permission. The said supervisor accused Mr. Reddy of obstructing the government programme. Mr. Raghava Reddy lodged a case against the supervisor for digging up road and settled the matter at the police station thus closing the issue.

However, the police later informed him that the supervisor had lodged a case against him and he would be arrested. Accordingly, the Congress leader was arrested and released later on bail. “Though the issue was resolved, Mr. Dayakar Rao encouraged the supervisor to lodge a complaint against me in police station,” Mr. Reddy alleged.
The recent public meeting addressed by the TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy witnessed unexpected crowds at Palakurthy. The ruling party MLA Mr. Dayakar Rao was shaken and was trying to indulge in mudslinging against the Congress party leaders. People are vexed with him and are waiting to defeat him in the next elections. The Congress party will win the Palakurthy Assembly constituency without any doubt.
Mr. Janga Raghava Reddy said as an Opposition leader he had the right to question the quality of works being executed by the State government. Instigating the officials against him would not help the ruling party leaders. “This is not the first time Mr. Dayakar Rao is after me. However, he will lose the election as people are discontent with his performance,” he said.
