Observing that the Congress and Telugu Desam Party became invisible in Telangana, BJP State president K. Laxman on Monday said that even the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi would follow suit.
“The future of TRS is uncertain, same as the water bubble, waiting to burst,” he said, addressing cadre and the newly-joined at the party’s membership drive that reached Nalgonda district on Monday. For Mr. Laxman, the scene for erstwhile ruling parties, both the Congress and the TDP, is over, and the slot certain to be vacated by the TRS will be filled by BJP, the only alternative, he said.
On TRS, he opined that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s plan to elevate his son K.T. Rama Rao to his position will prove to be a disaster.

“The BJP succeeded in ending family rule politics in the Centre and the same will continue in the State,” he said, asking cadres to mobilise for memberships, the same also possible through a smartphone on the NaMo app. Declaring that the ruling party's alleged corruption in schemes like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya will be exposed, Mr. Laxman also criticised it for teaming up with AIMIM, “a party that was against separate Telangana.”
“Important leaders from the Congress and TDP will be joining the BJP soon,” he said. Later, discussing with the cadre and leaders, to intensify party-strengthening measures, he said all village, mandal and booth-level leaders should be given responsibilities. The Telangana BJP’s target is to achieve 50 lakh membership, he said.
