The Congress on Friday staged protest demonstrations across the State against the delay in implementation of crop loan waiver scheme by the TRS government.

Barring Medak district where by-poll to Medak Parliamentary constituency was due on Saturday, dharnas were attended by all the Congress senior leaders. In the twin cities, the main programme was held at Ranga Reddy Collectorate at Lakdikapul, where the party chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, former Ministers Danam Nagender and G. Prasada Kumar, party legislators Rammohan Reddy, former MLAs D. Sudhir Reddy, Kuna Srisailam Goud, Bhikashapati Yadav and others attended.

The leaders decried the TRS government’s attitude towards the farmers and demanded the crop loan waiver scheme be implemented immediately without any delay. Mr. Ponnala Lakshmaiah alleged that in the last 100 days, around 170 farmers ended their lives.
