Three LED TV sets stolen from showroom

Burglars broke into an electronics showroom at L.B. Nagar on Tuesday night and made away with gadgets worth Rs. 5 lakh.

The miscreants made a hole in the wall of Yes Mart showroom located at Chintalkaunta in L.B. Nagar and took away three LED televisions.

“The miscreants entered the shop, took the LED TVs and went away after opening the shutter on the rear side of the shop with the help of keys from the store,” L.B. Nagar Sub-Inspector M. Kashivishwanath said.

Four detained

The Chandrayangutta police detained four persons for their alleged involvement in the murder of Syed Qutbuddin (59), a travel agent from Malakpet, reported 10 days ago at Bandlaguda.

The four accused persons – who are associates of one Khaiser, a history sheeter from Jubilee Hills – followed the victim when he went to see a land parcel near Aurora College and stabbed him to death with daggers.

The businessman had married a woman, Farheen, a few years ago.

The woman had divorced Khaiser following harassment by him. The police were making efforts to nab Khaiser, who fled soon after the businessman killed .

Police confiscate 1,082 sachets of IDL

The Charminar Prohibition and Excise officials on Wednesday confiscated 1,082 sachets of illicitly distilled liquor following a raid at a sales point in Lalitha Bagh. A case was registered against two persons, N. Vipul Rama (22) and N. Susheel Kumar (46), and efforts were being made to nab them.

Todder killed in accident

A toddler died after being hit by a car at Chandrayangutta on Wednesday afternoon.

The 18-month-old boy, Syed, was playing in front of his house when he was hit by the vehicle that was being reversed.

“Syed was hit by the vehicle and died on the spot,” the Chandrayangutta police said.
