Thirty held for consuming liquor outside wine shops

The Commissioners Task Force (South) on Tuesday night arrested 30 persons for consuming liquor outside wine shops in different areas of the city. The arrests were made at Santoshnagar, Bahadurpura, Chatrinaka, and Kalapather. The arrested persons were handed over to respective police stations for necessary action, a press release said.

Teenager commits suicide

Arun Kumar, 18, a resident of Chevella in Ranga Reddy district who consumed acid on Tuesday died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday, police said. Arun’s family told the police that he was depressed over his falling health.

Man dies in accident

A 35-year-old-man, B. Kumar, a private employee from Shivrampally died after his bike hit a road divider at Rajendranagar on Tuesday night, the police said. The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Suspicious death

A home guard Ch. Mallesh, 35, died under suspicious circumstances at his house in Rajendranagar on Tuesday evening, police said. Police suspect he might have died due to ill health. His family members told the police that Mallesh was staying alone after his wife deserted him five years ago.
