‘The Hindu Bridal Mantra’ from Jan. 24

The fifth edition of ‘The Hindu Bridal Mantra’, a bridal couture show and two-day expo, will be held in the city from January 24 to 26.

The inaugural function will be held at Taj Krishna Hotel on January 24, 2014 where creations by designers like Ritu Kumar, Shantanu and Nikhil, and Bhairavi Jaikishan will be displayed.

The silk and jewellery retailers, RmKV and GRT, will sponsor, and also showcase their latest collections.

The latest edition of the ‘Bridal Mantra’ magazine will also be inaugurated at the event. The two-day expo and shopping fest on January 25 and 26 will also be held at Taj Krishna Hotel between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Bridal costumes like intricately-crafted lehenga for the mehendi or a resplendent silk sari for the muhurtam, designer and contemporary jewellery, fashion accessories, gifting ideas, bridal makeovers and event planners from across the country will be featured in the expo.

The event was launched in 2011 in Chennai and till now three editions were held in Chennai and one in Singapore.

‘Bridal Mantra’ has brought to the fore the works of 18 established names from the fashion industry such as Ritu Kumar, Raghavendra Rathore, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Varun Bahl, Neeta Lulla, Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Gaurav Gupta, Ecru, Anjali and Arjun Kapoor, and Suhani Pittie.

Foray in Dubai ‘Bridal Mantra’ will also make its foray in Dubai on February 26, at Ritz Carlton.
