Senior Telangana TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Sunday accused Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of behaving as if he was still leading an agitation and faulted him for pulling up officials.

At a press conference here, he urged Mr. Rao not to mislead the people. He said the Chief Minister expressed his ire at the officials after people complained that they did not get pensions and ration cards at Warangal on Saturday. For the last three months, women in Warangal have been staging dharnas and rasta rokos, he said and questioned why the Chief Minister was pulling up officials.

Claiming that the Chief Minister himself admitted that his government’s administration was worst, he asked Mr. Rao to look at the GO issued by his own government that stipulated certain conditions for giving pensions.

Mr. Dayakar Rao warned that the TDP would launch an agitation if government lands were sold. At a separate press meet, another TS TDP leader, Revanth Reddy, alleged that Mr. Rao visited Warangal with an eye on the upcoming municipal polls and accused him of trying to deceive the voters.

He questioned the need for Mr. Rao to chastise officials when he himself had full information gathered during the household survey.
