The Telugu Desam Party has decided to intensify their agitation against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao led State government’s indifference on the “illegal projects” being constructed by the neighbour Karnataka government upstream of Krishna river.
The Telangana TDP legislature party which met here on Saturday discussed about the government’s moves to alter the design of Pranahita-Chevella project, promotion of cheap liquor, construction of projects across Krishna and other issues.

The meeting had decided to organise a padayatra in protest against the government’s decision to change the design of Pranahita-Chevella project considered to be the lifeline of Ranga Reddy district.
The party had decided to organise protests in Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad and other districts that would be adversely affected by the government’s decision to change the designs of some of the important irrigation projects.
The TDP legislators said they secured appointment of Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to complain about the inaction of the Telangana Speaker on the complaints lodged against MLAs who defected to the TRS from other parties as also the failure of the officials to follow protocol duties. But, they were later informed that the meeting had been cancelled.
