The Tribal Students Forum (TSF) continued their strike at the University of Hyderabad demanding that Naresh Lunavath be declared elected as Vice President of the Students Union amidst allegations that he had less than 75% attendance, which is mandatory as per norms.
The Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW) and Chief Warden of the university met a key representative of the Tribal Students Forum and tried to impress upon him the reasons behind its decision to request the retired judge to help the institution arrive at a decision on the matter.
They also appealed to the representative to withdraw the agitation and wait for the outcome following due institutional processes.

The declaration of the result to the post of the Vice-President has been kept on hold and the matter has been referred to a retired judge of the High Court.
Meanwhile, a poster with the names of the elected office bearers of the students' union was circulated with the university community in which Mr. Lunavath was mentioned as the Vice-President. The university administration advised those circulating the poster to respect the posts of the office bearers of the Students' Union to which the representatives have been declared elected through a due process.
