Sriramsagar Project Superintending Engineer G. Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday said water will be released in all three canals - Kakatiya, Saraswathi and Laxmi for the current kharif from September 1 to Nov. 14. Water will be released for 4.70 lakh acres up to Lower Manair Dam in five spells in ‘on and off system’ with 8 days on and 7 days off. During off period, 10 tmc feet water will be transferred to LMD, said the SE in a press release.
