Spurious chilli powder seized in Sattupalli

The Task Force personnel seized ‘spurious’ chilli and turmeric powder from a shop at Ayyagaripeta in Sattupalli town on Monday. Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force sleuths raided the shop and a godown attached to it. The team seized a huge quantity of ‘adulterated’ chilli and turmeric powder kept ready for dispatch. The seized material was handed over to the local police for further inquiry. Another team conducted an inspection at a godown near the Government Women’s Degree College here late in the evening. It found a huge quantity of suspected substandard quality of biscuits, chocolates and other snacks packed in boxes.
