Snag hits NEET-PG counselling

March 26, 2018 01:04 am | Updated 02:35 pm IST - Hyderabad

Technical snag and server problems are threatening to rob the career of several candidates applying for NEET-PG admission from the city.

These candidates have applied for the first counselling starting on Monday but their admission fee is yet to be accepted owing to technical snag. Since they are yet to receive the acknowledgement of fee payment, these candidates may lose an opportunity for admission.

For example, H. Arun Kumar paid the fee of ₹2.05 lakh through the website ‘mmc.nic.in’ before March 20 but he is yet to receive the acknowledgement card for fee payment. He says several other students also faced similar problems. In fact, he lodged a complaint too (complaint no 2018032388021115) with the authorities but the issue is yet to be resolved.

He says after an enquiry with the officials on the toll-free number 1800-111-555, he was assured that the issue would be sorted out by DGHS in New Delhi. But for the past four days, no phone of those officials has been working. Since several students have been affected by server issues, their parents are demanding that the first counselling date be extended so that fresh applications could be submitted.
