The Nacharam police arrested six persons on the charge of murdering a truck driver, Syed Pasha, before taking away his lorry which was loaded with copper wire, a fortnight ago.
Md. Khursheed Ahmed, (40), Md. Mujahid Pasha (20), Md. Anwar (20), Mohd Shafi (22), Mohd Shabaz (20) and Syed Aamir kidnapped the driver Pasha when he came to IDA Nacharam to deliver a load of copper wire bundles. The accused persons took him in his lorry to Zaheerabad and killed him and dumped his body in Naranja reservoir, Inspector N. Ashok Kumar said. Later, they took away the truck to Patancheru area and kept it at an isolated place, he added.
One of the accused, Khursheed, was earlier arrested for various property offences by the police.
