Satheesh Reddy thanks Modi, Parrikar

Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy says his focus will be on indigenisation of weapons for the armed forces.

Well-known navigation expert, and Director of Research Centre Imarat, Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, who has been appointed as Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister, said that he would strive to ensure maximum indigenisation in arms and equipments for the defence forces.

Talking to The Hindu , Dr. Reddy said he would also promote advanced research to realise state-of-the-art equipment and best weapons for the armed forces.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for placing such a huge responsibility and confidence in him. “I will do my best in doing Scientific Adviser’s task and pushing the research and development in the country,” he added.
