Rs. 78 cr. sanctioned for CCTV surveillance system

The State government on Saturday sanctioned Rs. 58.59 crore to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad city, for the implementation of city-wide CCTV surveillance system.

Principal Secretary (Home) Rajiv Trivedi stated in the orders that a high power committee headed by Chief Secretary had recommended establishment of a city-wide CCTV surveillance system covering Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates as part of enhancing safety in the State capital. In another order, the government sanctioned Rs. 20 crore for construction of Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate headquarters building at Banjara Hills.
