Realising the slogan of Telangana movement – Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu (water, funds and appointments) is in constant progress under the TRS government.
Apart from employment opportunities created in the government, nearly 12 lakh people secured a job in the private sector, thanks to the many initiatives of the Industries Department, Minister K.T. Rama Rao said on Friday.
“Be it the 24-hour electricity, or the self-certification mechanism of TS-iPASS and other opportunities, industrialists, small or big, moved away from dharna chowks to being happy in Telangana now,” he said.

Mr. Rao was speaking at the inaugural of the Green Industrial Park for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), a one-of-its-kind centre on 440 acres here, being developed by TS Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and Telangana Industrialists Federation (TIF).
The centre would be a hub for a tentative 450 ‘green MSMEs’, attracting more than ₹1,500 crore investment, and land allotment to units had already begun.
Mr. Rao, along with District Collector Anita Ramachandran, TSIIC chairman Gyadari Balamallu and members of TIF, earlier unveiled the park’s plaque.

Breaking the coconut, the Minister performed puja, and Energy Minister G. Jagadish Reddy switched electricity, inaugurating the 33/11 KV sub-station for the park.
Akin to Kakatiya mega textile park at Warangal, plastics park at Mankhal and medical devices park at Sultanpur, the MSME park would, Mr. Rao said, become a model station.
“We believe what Telangana does today, India will do tomorrow. It is a red carpet for industries, but environment standards and generation of local employment is a must,” he said, addressing industrialist associations and delegates of various federations.
Responding to local legislator Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s request for 75% compulsory employment to locals, like in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Rao said the TRS government was committed to Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu.
"We will expand the park to 2,000 acres. And only environment-friendly enterprises are welcome. The only other request to industries is to provide employment, based on skill, to locals. Women, dalits and tribals will be given a quota,” he said.
The Minister said the Park would house a skill centre on 10 acres and the green park would make ‘walk to work’ possible, with 194 acres earmarked to build housing quarters.
Mr. Rao announced that a Common Effluent Treatment Plant would be set up in Choutuppal soon.
Mr. Rao said plans were being considered to set up a dry port in undivided Nalgonda.
