Reels off English alphabets backwards 37 times in a minute

Record-holder: Rangachari Sreekanth with certificates acknowledging his feat, in Nizamabad on Thursday.

Rangachari Sreekanth reeling off English alphabets backwards, without taking a breath, has earned him two gold medals and a place in the Telugu Book of Records.

The 23-year-old has already broken the Guinness World Records of Geetha Smith and Matthev Jockson by reciting the alphabets backwards 37 times in a minute (1.420 seconds to recite once).

Geetha Smith entered the Guinness Book of World Records by reciting alphabets in 1.93 seconds and Stevensikeller broke her record by achieving it in 1.761 seconds. Matthev Jockson could reel off alphabets 26 times in a minute while Sreekanth did the same 37 times.

“My wish is to figure in the Guinness Book of World Records. I have already beaten its previous records. But I have no idea whom to approach to register my feat or to show my talent to be approved by the officials of the Guinness Book of World Records,” says Sreekanth, a resident of Sunket village in Mortha mandal.

He is at present pursuing graduation at Government College, Nirmal.

He is under the guardianship of his maternal uncles as he lost his parents when young. He aspires to become a teacher cum scientist in future.
