Police on Thursday rescued 94 children hailing from Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal when they were brought to Hyderabad to work in factories of Old City. On a tip-off, the Government Railway Police teams checked the Falaknuma Express when it arrived at platform No. 8 of Secunderabad railway station.

They found these children in some compartments. “No adult was accompanying them. The traffickers lure them with jobs and apprenticeship and send them to city,” the police said.

They would be asked to go to the specified addresses where they would be engaged as labourers. Five days ago, the Gopalapuram police rescued 74 children. The rescued children were being sent to different State Homes in the city.
