Raidurgam SI in ACB net for taking bribe

A Sub-Inspector of Raidurgam police station, Ganagoni Shashidhar, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday when he allegedly demanded and accepted bribe from a bike taxi driver, accused in an accident case.

The ACB officials said that the accused officer was caught red-handed in the police station while accepting ₹ 2,000 from the complainant Guttikonda Murali Satyanarayana Vara Prasad of Saroornagar. Mr. Murali works as a bike taxi driver with and was accused in an accident case, being probed by the SI Shashidhar.

“Shashidhar demanded ₹ 2,000 for managing the case registered against Mr Murali and for sanctioning him station bail,” an ACB official said.

The accused officer’s left-hand fingers tested positive when subjected to chemical test and the tainted sum was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and will be produced before the special court for ACB cases in Hyderabad.

Inspector attached

Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Saturday attached Raidurgam inspector M Ram Babu to CAR Headquarters of Cyberabad after a sub-inspector of the police station got caught by the ACB officials for allegedly accepting bribe.

Detective Inspector of the police station P Vijay Kumar was attached as inspector in Raidurgam.
