Pothholes clog traffic on RK Puram flyover

June 06, 2014 11:37 pm | Updated 11:50 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

There are multiple potholes near the R.K Puram flyover (which heads towards Neredmet). The flyover is known for traffic jams and due to the potholes, the vehicles move at a snail’s pace causing delays. A complaint lodged on the GHMC’s online portal was closed by Mr. Srinivas (AE-Engg division 9849906745), stating that the above mentioned road comes under the purview of the R&B division. I called an R&B official, one Mr. Nayak (94408-18460) on May 21, and he promised to get the road repaired within 2-3 days. But till date, the road remains the same and there is no response from him. There is no proper response either, from the Deputy Executive Engineer cum Complaints Handling Officer, Mr. Saleem (9440818191). To add to all these, the ‘online grievance handling system’ of the website ( http://www.aprdc.in/ ) does not permit citizens to file complaints.

Errant parking attendants at MGBS

I had a bitter experience at one of the parking stalls at MGBS. The parking agents do not issue any ticket to people who park their vehicles outside the parking lot. Moreover, they charge double the fare, and don’t take any responsibility of the vehicle. When I asked them for a ticket, the agents began behaving rudely. The situation was at other stalls too. I complained to the Station Manager’s office, but the response was very lax.

I wonder what happened to the proposed multi-storied parking lot system at MGBS. I request the authorities to take note of this serious problem and also urge them to take immediate action against the errant parking contractors.
