Ponnam Prabhakar ridicules K. Kavitha

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar ridiculed Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha for claiming that she had fulfilled her election promise of operating the Peddapalli to Nizamabad via Karimnagar railway line.

Talking to newsmen in Jagtial town on Tuesday, he said that the railway line progressed till Morthad even before Kavitha had become a Member of Parliament.

In 1993 when the foundation stone was laid for the railway line, Kavitha did not even thought of entering politics, he said and added that the Congress leaders P.V. Narasimha Rao, J. Chokka Rao, G. Venkat Swamy had strived hard for the railway line.

He also claimed that he had raised the railway line issue in Parliament and was also railway consultative committee member.
