All the upcoming police stations, to be constructed across Telangana by the State Police Housing Corporation, would be citizen-friendly, with a number of facilities for the visitors. Visitors can expect better interaction with the uniformed personnel.
The facilities include a spacious waiting hall that can accommodate around 100 people at a time, separate parking facilities, and provision for light refreshments and beverages. Apart from that, the offices of Superintendent of Police in each district will also have a spacious library with vast collection of books.

On Sunday, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Finance Minister Etala Rajender, Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy, along with Mr. Koleti, laid foundation stone for the construction of new Commissionerate in Ramagundam.
He said that the Corporation has decided to develop the Godavarikhani I-Town police station as the best ‘Model Police Station’ in the country and construction works were being taken up with the estimated cost of ₹4.5 crore. Explaining about the new police station buildings that will come up in Hyderabad, he said, “23 new police station buildings have been grounded at a cost of ₹70 crore and works are in progress.”
The major focus is on providing parking facility to the visitors coming to police stations in the city. He said that engineering wing of the corporation has already prepared plans for the construction of a Command Control Centre in Karimnagar and Sircilla and works would be taken up with ₹100 crore each.

The chairman also mentioned that with an estimate of ₹20 crore, the government is constructing three Indian Reserve battalion, each one at Adilabad, Kothagudem and Medchal and works are going on at brisk pace.
The Corporation so far has taken up construction works pertaining to a police academy, central prisons, 14 police battalion complexes each in 100 acre and OCTOPUS training centres in 600 acres in various districts, the chairman added.
