Essay writing, drawing and painting competitions were conducted as part of the Police Commemoration Week celebrations for the police personnel and their children at the TSPS 12th Battalion at Dichpally on Monday. Essay writing competition on the topic “How to utilise social media for better policing” was also held for the civil police on the occasion.
Meanwhile, In-charge Commissioner of Police N. Swetha said that Open House programme for students at police stations, essay writing, painting and rangoli competitions for families of police personnel, counselling for martyr families and blood donation camps would mark the commemoration week celebrations all over the district.
On the valedictory day on October 21, homage would be paid by recalling and reading names of every police person who laid down his or her life for the safety and security of the society.
