The Sri Swamy Ayyappa Co-operative Housing Society requests the Telangana government to recommend the regularisation process of the plots of its members.

The society purchased 140 acres 20 guntas in Khanamet Village, Ranga Reddy district from Gurukul Ghatkesar Trust (GGT) in 1982. In the year 1998, we approached the High Court after failing to obtain the No Objection Certificate from the Revenue Department and the court in its judgment in 2003 pointed out that the GGT should have obtained the requisite permission from the Endowment Commissioner and advised the society members to seek appropriate relief within four months subject to terms and conditions considered fit under the Endowment Act 1987.

Later, we came to understand that the lands of the Trust were acquired through a ULC notification in 2006 while ignoring the ULC clearance of the year 1982. The society then approached the then Chief Minister and explained the situation following which the government released an order for regularising the plots along with other sites in the State.

Almost all members have paid the required amount as per the GO 747 to the authority and are waiting for the official clearance for the past six years. Presently, as many as 900 houses have come up in the society. Even the society’s application for the recent Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) is pending as the main land is pending with the ULC clearance.

In the given circumstances, we request the Chief Minister to recommend regularisation process at the earliest for our society members and avoid panic situations created by the GHMC for removal of the structures.
