Parking space row proves fatal for advocate

A row over parking of a vehicle led to the murder of an advocate at Punjagutta. Advocate K.G.K. Prasad of Errum Manzil went to Kummari Basti in Punjagutta in his car on June 1. He found a motorcycle parked on the main road and enquired about it. A local trader, Narendar Yadav, to whom the vehicle reportedly belonged, picked up an argument with Prasad when he asked him to remove the vehicle. “Narendar along with his friends rained blows on Prasad resulting in serious injuries,” the police said. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

One held for theft

Jubilee Hills police solved the theft case reported at the house of Tollywood director Dasari Narayana Rao’s son with the arrest of his driver on Sunday. The driver, A. Praveen Kumar Reddy, has been working with Arun Kumar, director’s son, for last five years. “Last month when Arun Kumar’s family went abroad, Praveen went inside the house using duplicate keys and took away the valuables,” the police said.

Attack on businessman

Unidentified persons allegedly tried to attack a businessman with knives at Aramgarh junction on Saturday night. “He told us that the gang tried to attack him but he locked himself in the car and escaped,” an official said.
