Owaisi asks Modi to break his silence on Dadri

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president, Asaduddin Owaisi asked Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to break his silence on the murder of a 52-year-old, Md. Akhlaq over rumours of cow slaughter.

The Prime Minister who tweets to express his condolence on the demise of a renowned singer’s (Asha Bosle) son could also speak on the death of a Air Force corporal’s father, Mr. Owaisi said referring to Md. Sartaj, Mr. Akhlaq’s son. “When the father of a corporal is killed inhumanly why should not the PM talk. He should up the moral of the son who is serving the country,” he said, asking the Prime Minister to pay his respects to Mr. Akhlaq.

Mr. Owaisi also asked Samajwadi Party to treat the Dadri issue as a matter of internal conflict. “Samajwadi Party president, Mulayam Singh Yadav should clarify why his party wants to take the matter of internal conflict within a country to the UN,” he asked, adding the ruling SP had not performed its constitutional duties to protect the minorities and the marginalised.

“Why is the government allowing the Sangh Parivar to carry forward its agenda,” he asked.
