No. of voters down in Huzurabad, Choppadandi

Enrolment, additions, corrections to be done till September 25

A record number of 22,188 voters, including 17,351 voters from the Huzurabad assembly segment, represented by Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Eatala Rajender, and 4,437 voters from Choppadandi segment were missing in the draft voters’ list prepared by the election authorities as per September 1 this year.

When compared to the voters’ list of the 2014 elections, the Karimnagar assembly segment had a total of 2,22,538 voters, 1,66,596 being men and 1,55,942 women.

In 2018, the voters’ number increased to 2,26, 687 -- 1,15, 066 men and 1,11,598 women.

In Choppadandi segment, the voters’ list had come down by 4,437 voters during this election. In 2014, the voters’ list had 2,04,705 voters -- including 1,01,603 men and 1,03,102 women. In 2018, it has come down to 2,00,268 -- including 99,456 men and 1,00,810 women. The women voters’ top in Choppadandi reserved constituency.

In Huzurabad segment, a record number of 17,351 voters were listed compared to 2014 elections.

In 2014, there were 20,09,727 voters -- including 1,05,405 men and 1,04,322 women. In 2018, it has come down to 1,92,376 -- including 97,377 men and 94,990 women.

In Manakondur segment, there was an increase of only 496 voters. In 2014 elections, there were 1,88,455 voters and this time it had increased to 1,88,951 voters.

District Election Officer and Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad has asked voters to verify their names in the electoral rolls by logging into www.nvsp.in.

If the voters’ names are missing in the electoral roll, they may get it included by filing form 6 online or handing over the form to booth-level officer (BLO) or tahsildar. He said the new voters’ list -- including enrolment, additions, corrections etc., would be done till September 25 and not after that.
