Here is yet another tragic story of a migrant worker who landed in trouble in Malaysia.
The only difference is that the victim is jailed in a South-East Asian country unlike the West Asian countries, where most of the migrant workers land in trouble for working with fake and illegal visas.
Believing the inducements of an unknown agent, 24-year-old Nimmala Sandeep of Manchippa in Mogpal mandal, went to Kuala Lampur on a fake visa by paying ₹1.50 lakh.

After landing there, he remained unemployed for four months and later, for about six to seven months, he worked in a company at a very low wage owing to his illegal visa. Thereafter, he was arrested by police and sent to prison.
After a few months, he was shifted to a police camp in Semenyih province where he is languishing for the last four months, according to his illiterate mother Rajamani, who is a farm worker in the village.
After the death of her husband, Rajamani raised her two sons by doing farm work.

In order to provide a comfortable living to Rajamani, her younger son left for Malaysia. His whereabouts and safety was not known for the last four months, said Mohan Reddy, a relative.
Quoting his reliable sources in Malaysia, Mr. Reddy says Sandeep’s position is pitiable.
“The sources want us to send money for his repatriation but we are not in a position to believe them,” he said. Ms. Rajamani, Mr. Reddy and some villagers approached Patkuri Basanth Reddy, president, Gulf Telangana Cultural and Welfare Association, here on Sunday urging him to use his influence through his acquaintances in Malaysia for Mr. Sandeep’s release.
Talking to The Hindu , Mr. Basanth Reddy said that repatriation of Sandeep is a bit difficulty.
“The Malaysian laws are strict and penalties are high. Unless governments at the Centre and in the State take the initiative, Mr. Sandeep cannot be brought back. I will try to appraise TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and MP Kavitha on the matter, said Mr. Basanth Reddy.
