‘Resolve issues through dialogue’

Housing and Endowments Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy has urged the members of Adivasi tribes and Lambadas to maintain restraint and resolve their issues through dialogue.

Allowing the strife among the communities to continue would not pave the way for solution of their problems and the government was committed to resolve the issues amicably. Tribes and Lambadas were advised not to get provoked by the rumours spread through the social media and they should be carried away by emotions.

The communities should maintain restraint and strive for resolution of their issues through dialogue which was the only way for amicable solution in a democracy, the Minister said. The Minister’s appeal comes in the light of the increasing tensions between the Adivasis and Lambadas in Adilabad and other districts.

He asserted that the government was trying to resolve the issues of all communities ever since the TRS took over the reins in Telangana and it was committed to ensure that all communities and regions were given equal priority in the development of the State.

“Tribes and Lambadas should bring their grievances if any to the notice of the government and we are committed to resolve the issues raised by these communities,” he said recalling the initiatives launched by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for putting in place the necessary infrastructure for education, health and other needs of these communities.
