Masterplan for Bhadadri temple development finalised

The State Government has given a final shape to long-awaited plan of developing historic Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam. It plans to invest ₹ 100 crore to develop the shrine and the town around it.

According to official sources, the draft masterplan prepared by a noted architect and his team will be shown to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao soon.

Noted spiritual leader Chinna Jeeyar Swami discussed about the development of the temple with the officials concerned and made some suggestions to them on formulation of a comprehensive masterplan to develop the shrine in line with the temple traditions during his visit to Bhadrachalam in February.

Sources said that Minister for Roads and Buildings T. Nageshwara Rao reviewed the temple development plan to give a facelift to Bhadrachalam shrine at a high-level meeting with the senior officials and architects concerned in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The meeting decided to finalise the detailed project report, get approval for the same by next month to go for tenders for execution of the development project in August.
