Mass marriage held

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Friday participated in a mass marriage programme organised by TRS MLA of Nagarkurnool, Marri Janardhan Reddy, at Nagarkurnool in Mahabubnagar district.

As many as 102 couples got married according to Hindu rituals amid chanting of mantras by pandits at Zilla Parishad ground, according to a release here. Ministers Etala Rajender, Jupally Krishna Rao and C. Laxma Reddy, Mahabubnagar MP A.P. Jithender Reddy, Zilla Parishad Chairman Bandaru Bhaskar and Collector T.K. Sridevi were present. The Governor handed over the cheques to couples for amounts assured under Kalyana Laxmi.
