Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti founder, Manda Krishna Madiga has sought protection from the Government alleging that his life was under threat from some unknown persons, who had followed him in a car with an intention to attack him while returning from Suryapet on July 8.

In a letter written to the Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhara Rao, Mr. Krishna Madiga said that some persons followed him in a Swift Dezire vehicle with the number plate TS29 4878 from Suryapet while he was on his way to Warangal on July 8 night.

The vehicle driver Satyam noticed the vehicle following them from Suryapet and stopped wherever they stopped to meet local leaders. It continued to follow them even when they took diversion at Chityal to go towards Warangal, which is a bit deserted in the night. “On reaching Kazipet when a MRPS activist confronted the people in the car as to why they were following they reversed the car and sped from the place,” he said.

The local MRPS leaders in Surypet enquired with the Suryapet Inspector whether the police had followed his vehicle but the CI made it clear that the police did not follow him. “Since these unknown persons tried to stop me at deserted places I feel my life is under threat,” Mr. Krishna Madiga said in his letter and sought an enquiry into the incident and also protection from the Government.
