Man who made threat calls to Kishan Reddy nabbed

Cyber Crime police have arrested the man who made threats to Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy over phone on May 20.

The Minister had lodged a complaint with police in this regard on June 12 based on which police registered cases under IPC sections 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 507 (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication) and investigation was taken up and Shaik Ismail, a resident of YSR Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, was arrested.

Police said the accused went to Kuwait in 2017 and worked as a car driver. He used to follow political leaders’ speeches and news on social media platforms. He searched for Mr Kishan Reddy’s contact number online to make an anonymous threat call.
