Man succumbs to swine flu

A middle aged man from Mahabubnagar, who was admitted to Gandhi Hospital, has died of complications from H1N1, health officials on Thursday said.

The authorities had sent the swab samples of the deceased for testing of swine flu to Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), which came out positive.

So far, from January, 2015, the death toll has touched 69 in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, the number of swine flu positive cases, which were reported in Hyderabad has touched the 1,600 mark between January and February.

Over 5,500 swab samples were tested and sent for testing to state-run IPM.

Meanwhile, senior doctors maintained that the rise in temperatures in Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana would definitely cause a dip in H1N1 cases in Hyderabad.
