Man hammers wife to death

A 43-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband at their house in Amberpet on Saturday. Amberpet police said the woman, Shakira Begum, a housewife, had a tiff with her husband Syed Ibrahim. In a fit of rage, Ibrahim, who is said to be suffering from mental disorders, reportedly attacked her with a hammer, killing her on the spot, police said. Amberpet police have registered a case of murder and further probe is on.

Man commits suicide

An unidentified man committed suicide on the railway tracks between Kacheguda and Malakpet stations on Sunday. Kacheguda railway police said the man, around 26 years old, was wearing blue jeans pant and a white-and-black checked shirt. The body has been kept at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification.

Road accident

K. Sariyah, 27, an employee at a private firm, who was injured after an APSRTC bus hit him at the Vijayawada bus stop in L. B. Nagar on Tuesday, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday night. He was rushed to the OGH for treatment where he died on Saturday night, L. B. Nagar police station, Sub-Inspector, K. Sudhakar said.
