In Jagtial, Minister for Social Welfare Koppula Eshwar along with Jagtial legislator M. Sanjay Kumar participated in the programme. However, he faced embarrassing moments when local scribes boycotted the programme for not allocating land for journalists. They alleged that the TRS government could allocate land for its party office in no time, but not for journalists, which has been pending since ages. Mr. Sanjay Kumar tried to pacify the journalists, but in vain.

KAMAREDDY Special Correspondent adds: ZP Chairperson-elect Dafedar Sobha and MLA Gampa Govardhan laid foundation stone for TRS party office near the office of Superintendent of Police.

After performing bhoomi puja , Mr. Govardhan said the party office would be built with an estimated cost of ₹60 lakh. TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao wants to take the party to every doorstep and has therefore decided to have permanent party offices in every district, he added.

Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde, TRS Minority Cell State president M.K. Muzeebuddin, party Banswada constituency in-charge P. Bhaskar Reddy, district Granthalaya Samstha chairman Sampath Goud and municipal Chairperson P. Sushma attended the event.

Several TRS leaders in Bhongir, Suryapet and Nalgonda districts participated in bhoomi puja along with their family members. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Jagadish Reddy said the party was pumped up under the leadership of its working president K.T. Rama Rao.

“We will conduct inaugural functions of all the district party offices after this Dasara, which is also the deadline for the construction work to be completed,” he said. He later visited Nalgonda with District Collector Gaurav Uppal and MLA K. Bhupal Reddy to inaugurate the newly-built legislator’s camp office.

Reminding the purpose of the new facility, he said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s idea behind dedicated offices for MLAs was to ease administration, and also help people to approach their leader at a designated office. “MLA camp offices are public buildings and people’s grievances will be addressed here,” he added.
