Language doesn’t seem to be a barrier as students of a city-based school and those from Warsaw sit together, talk and share their ideas about school, education and learning on Thursday.
One of them says schools are where they learn about human experiences. Another says it is where they learn discipline. And it goes on, as 21 students from Bednarska share tables with 21 students from India and discuss everything under the sun.
The students from Warsaw are here as part of an exchange programme with a difference.

“Those from India go abroad and spend time with families there and the students from there come and live with families here and learn about our people,” says Raju Ravi Tej, who organised the Good Will Conference in the city. For them, it gives a different perspective. It’s been a blur of biryani, movies and shopping for the past five days for Fanciszek Poravski-Pomsta.
The student from Bednarska area near Warsaw is in the city on an exchange programme between Hyderabad Public School and the Polish school named after Jamsaheb Digvijay Singh Jadeja of Nawanagar.
Dheeraj Krishna is a class IX student and spent a week with a Polish family in May of 2018.

“There is no difference in terms of gadgets at home. But it is cleaner. There are fewer people. They prefer to travel by walking and they were surprised that we move around in cars even for short distances,” said Dheeraj Krishna.
