Lax ticket inspection on MMTS

May 19, 2014 07:01 pm | Updated June 07, 2016 09:40 am IST

Ticket-checking on the MMTS first-class compartments, especially on the Falaknuma-Lingampally route, is not up to the mark. There are about twenty stops on the said route, but hardly any checking takes place. In the early hours and in the evening, ticket inspectors board at some stage according to their convenience, and then get down in between. I request the railways to have a full-time inspector for checking the tickets on the route.

Vote, I must

A student pursuing final-year B.Tech, I volunteered for the elections work, because of which I could not cast my vote on the day of polling. When I asked the police, they asked me to apply for a postal ballot, and guided me to the GHMC office at Malkajgiri. Officials there asked me to go to the Medchal office. As I could not go that far, I filed a complaint on the Election Commission website a week ago, and the status of the complaint remains pending. As a citizen of India, I must vote. But I am helpless.
