Kuruma community leaders thank KCR

Delegates of All India Kuruma conference called on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao here on Monday and congratulated him for implementing sheep distribution programme for Golla - Kuruma communities. Mr. Rao told the leaders on the occasion that so far 23.80 lakh sheep were distributed out of the targeted 80 lakh animals. This was a befitting reply to those who raised doubts how the State government proposed to procure so many animals.

Among those who were part of the delegation included Transport Minister of Karnataka Revanna, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister of Maharashtra Mahadev Jankar, Water Conservation and BC Welfare Minister of Maharashtra Ram Shinde, former Karnataka Minister Bandappa, Kolar (Karnataka) MLA Prakash Varthur, Delhi Water Board vice-chairman Dinesh Mohaniya and leaders from other States.

Mr. Rao announced ten acres of land for Golla - Kuruma hostel and a grant of Rs 10 crore for its construction.
