‘Janatha Special’ chugs out today

Service aimed at serving passengers who cannot secure reservations and are ready to travel in unreserved coaches

South Central Railway will for the first time run a ‘Janatha Special’ completely with unreserved second class coaches to Kakinada from here on Saturday.

In the return direction, it will leave on Sunday and reach here on Monday morning.

A press release said train No. 07101 will leave here on May 25 at 10.50 p.m. and reach Kakinada Town at 9.25 a.m. the next day. On the return, no. 07102 will leave at 7.15 p.m. on May 26 and reach Hyderabad at 5.50 a.m. the next day.

The service was aimed at passengers who could not secure reservations and were ready to travel in unreserved coaches.

The fare for a distance of 574 km that will be covered in 10 hours and 35 minutes was fixed at Rs. 145.

Weekly express

Another press release announced the introduction from May 25, of a Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabad weekly express as announced in the Railway Budget.

It will traverse A.P., Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, linking the three State capitals of Hyderabad, Bhopal and Jaipur, covering a distance of 1,731 km in 32 hours with 29 halts. Accordingly, train no.19713 will leave Jaipur at 9.10 p.m. on Saturdays and reach Secunderabad at 7.30 a.m. on Mondays.

In the return direction, no. 19714 will leave here at 10 p.m. on Mondays (from May 27) and reach its destination at 6.15 a.m. on Wednesdays.

The trains will stop at Medchal, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Mudkhed, H.S. Nanded, Purna, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Murtajapur, Badnera, New Amravati, Betul, Berchha, Chandan Bazar, Narkher, Itarsi, Habibganj, Bhopal, Sehore, Shujalpur, Ujjain, Nagda, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Banathali Newai and Durgarpur.
