Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore ranked 33rd; IIM-Ahmedabad slips from 31st to 47th position

The post graduate programme (PGP) in management of the Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked at number 24 worldwide in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2019.

This is an improvement by four positions from its 2018 ranking. Several factors contributed to the improvement in the rankings, a release from ISB said.

With an 187% salary increase of its alumni, ISB is ranked third worldwide on that parameter. At 34% female students, it has the largest intake of women students among Indian business schools. ISB has made steady progress on other key parameters like weighted salary, percentage of aims achieved, career services success, value for money and alumni recommendation, the release said.

At an annual intake of 900 students, ISB’s PGP is the largest management programme in India and among top 10 in the world, the release said.

Dean Rajendra Srivastava said ISB was established with a vision to be a globally top ranked, research driven, management institution.

After 12 years of the School’s consistently good performance in the FT Global MBA Rankings “we can be proud of our global positioning as an institute of eminence from India. It is very heartening to see three other prominent business schools from India feature in the Top 100. This goes a long way in helping strengthen the study in India initiative and help promote India as a destination for high quality management education,” he said.
