The results of the Intermediate first-year saw the pass percentage rise by more than one per cent from last year’s figures, despite the academic schedules affected by the agitation on State bifurcation.
The results declared on Monday revealed that the pass percentage increased to 55.84 against 54.60 last year and 53.75 in 2012. Among the 8,68,744 students who had registered for the exam, 4,85,069 cleared the papers. The performance of girls was better with 61 per cent, while it was 51 per cent for boys.
Officials said Krishna district had secured the top position with 74 per cent passes, while Adilabad was placed at the bottom with just 38 per cent. Interestingly, eight out of 10 districts in Telangana secured less than the State average of 56 per cent, with the only exceptions being Ranga Reddy (68 per cent) and Hyderabad (57 per cent).

In the Seemandhra region, 7 out of 13 districts were above the State average. Only Anantapur with 49 per cent was below the Seemandhra region.
Students can collect their marks memos from respective colleges from May 3 and the advanced supplementary exams will be held from May 25. Exam fee can be paid till May 6. For recounting of marks, students need to pay Rs.100 per subject and Rs.600 for a photocopy of the answer script. The fee can be paid at MeeSeva or AP Online Centres.
