Ranga Reddy district continued to hold sway in the Intermediate examinations with the district registering a pass percentage of 75 while Nalgonda district stood last with 50 per cent. The results were declared by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari here on Monday.

The overall pass percentage stood at 61.41 compared to 60.14 last year and 59.95 the previous year. The pass percentage of girls stood at 66.86 per cent while boys registered 55.91 per cent in the regular stream.
“There were apprehensions regarding delay in the release of results. However, officials put in their best efforts and ensured that the results were out in time,” the Deputy Chief Minister said. The percentage of other districts are as follows – Adilabad (54), Medak (54), Nizamabad (57), Mahabubnagar (52), Karimnagar (56), Khammam (64), Warangal (57) and Hyderabad (64).

The Board of Intermediate has announced that the Intermediate Advanced Supplementary Examination May/ June 2015 will be held from May 25 to June 1 between 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.
The last date for payment of the examination fee is May 6. The State government will also be holding free coaching classes for students who have failed in the first and second year examination.
A coaching centre will be opened in every district. Classes will be held for three weeks from May 1 onwards and students will be provided free boarding during the period. “Subject experts will help students prepare for the examination. If need be, we will increase the number of coaching centres,” Mr. Srihari said.
Candidates who wish to apply for re-counting should pay Rs. 100 per paper while those who apply for photocopy cum re-verification of answer sheets should pay Rs. 600 per paper. The BIE has set May 6 as the last date for applying for re-counting and re-verification.
