The city continued to receive intermittent spells of showers in the last 48 hours.

Hyderabad received 24.1 mm of rainfall on Wednesday night, Met department officials said, adding that parts of the city were in for more spells on Friday.

Wednesday’s showers led to water-logging at several areas in the city, including Attapur, S.R. Nagar, Erragdda, Chilkalguda, Nalgonda crossroads and Kanchanbagh main road. Motorists were seen struggling to commute through these stretches. The GHMC’s emergency call centre received 14 complaints of water-logging from various areas in the city.
