Stating that Hyderabad was an integral part of Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha said that no party has any right to talk ill of the people settled in the twin cities and other areas of the region.
“Every citizen has a right to live in this city and no one has the right to drive them away,” Mr. Rajanarasimha said. Hyderabad should grow as a global city. He said there can be a common capital for some years and wanted the two States to be developed in an amicable manner.
The Deputy Chief Minister spelt out the roadmap for development of Telangana State by promoting education in a big way. He said primary education would be the focus and pointed out that while Andhra region was ruled by Britishers, Telangana was under the Nizam’s regime. He said in the next 10 years, education sector would get attention.

On the health front there is need for 500 more primary health centres and 292 community health centres besides recruitment of 6,000 doctors. There are five medical colleges in the region and 15 medical colleges in the private sector. He said there should be more medical colleges and super-speciality teaching hospital either at Bibinagar or Anantagiri.
The Deputy Chief Minister said generation of employment and setting right the injustice in education and employment would be the priority. “We have a long and short term vision to develop Telangana,” he remarked.
