Honour for three NGRI scientists

The awards were given to the scientists during the Indian Science Congress organised at Kolkata recently

Dr. Parijat Roy, INSPIRE faculty, Geochemistry Division, CSIR-NGRI received the ISCA Young Scientist Award for 2012-13 in the Earth System Sciences category.

He received the award during the Indian Science Congress held at Kolkata recently.

Two other NGRI scientists -- Dr. M. Ram Mohan of the Geochemistry Division and E.Nagaiah, Senior Technical Assistant of Groundwater Division -- were respectively given Krishnan Gold Medal for 2012 by the Indian Geophysical Union and the Prof. S. C. Puranic Award for Young Scientist for 2012 by the International Groundwater Conference (IGWC), according to an official press release issued here on Wednesday.
