Honour for DRDO scientist

Conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Institute of Navigation

G. Satheesh Reddy, distinguished scientist and Director, Research Centre Imarat, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) for his significant contributions in the fields of inertial and satellite-based navigation and avionics technologies.

RIN Governing Council has invited Dr. Reddy for the annual meet scheduled on July 15, 2015 at London to bestow the fellowship. Established in 1947, RIN has elected nearly 450 highly distinguished navigation professionals as fellows from all over the world and as on date, Dr. Reddy becomes the first and the only one to be elected from India, according to a release here on Wednesday. An expert in navigation avionics, Dr. Reddy has nearly three decades of experience and is credited to have led the development of avionics technologies in critical areas of navigation, embedded computers simulation among others for the Indian missile and other defence programmes.
