Plan to create public awareness on profitability of land-pooling

HMDA plans to create civic infrastructure that follows the rules.

To foster planned development in new growth areas, HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) would take up housing projects under land-pooling scheme.

Several complaints arising from illegal layouts and unauthorised constructions by private builders forced the authorities to come up with schemes for regularisation.

HMDA plans to create civic infrastructure that follows the rules. As per the preliminary plan, a layout of land parcels running into acres would be developed, and the requisite infrastructure provided.

“We have sent the proposal to the State government. Once we get the authorisation, we will invite the public to be be a part of the project. We will partner with the landowners to create the right civic infrastructure including roads, and drinking water ,” said HMDA Commissioner T. Chiranjeevulu.
