Heat wave likely in some Telangana districts, AP

The Met Department has issued a heat wave warning for some districts in Telangana and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh for the next 24 hours. The temperatures in a Medak and Nalgonda districts of Telangana and East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh were recorded above normal.

Official forecast the temperatures to remain the same in the next few days.

Day temperatures

The day temperatures recorded at different places in the State are Ramagundam – 40 degree Celsius, Nizamabad – 39.1 degree Celsius, Visakapatnam – 44.4 degree Celsius, Machilipatnam -43.2 degree Celsius and Ongole – 42.5 degree Celsius.

Rain

Meanwhile the Met officials have forecast rain or thundershowers in parts of the city on Friday.

The maximum temperature recorded in the city on Thursday was 38.7 degree Celsius and minimum of 27.5 degree Celsius.
